Meet Wednesday.
She may not play the cello by candlelight (yet), but she does have the mysterious charm of her namesake.
Once an unwanted puppy from a backyard breeder, Wednesday came to us with her sister. Her sister has since found her forever home but Wednesday remains, patient and quietly observant, as if she knows the right match takes time.
At first, she may study you from the shadows — cautious, curious, calculating whether you’re worthy of her affection. But earn her trust, and you’ll have the kind of loyalty that can’t be broken. She’ll follow you through the dark, rain-soaked woods and into the light of every new day (preferably with snacks).
Wednesday is wonderfully dog-friendly — in fact, she takes her confidence from canine companions, so she’d love a dog sibling to show her the ropes. She’d do best with older kids (10+) who understand that sudden movements are… unsettling. That said, she’s polite and gentle when meeting her smaller human acquaintances.
She’s shy, soulful, and strikingly sweet — a little gothic, a little goofy, and completely enchanting once she lets you in.
