This guy is near and dear to my heart. He’s been living with me since we got him years ago. He became very attached to me (Tia Torres) which was making it difficult to adopt him out. Trust me we tried. But…I have been slowly weaning him away from me and he seems to be enjoying the company of others!
There is not one single thing I can say wrong about this dog. He is by far, the sweetest dog I’ve ever had in my house. He loves life, other dogs, the sunshine, to play in the dirt, the water, perfect indoors and wants nothing more than to please his “hoomans” (I’m pretty sure this is what Hounds call their people)
Stiltz is a Treeing Walker Coonhound with the most amazing “eyeliner” ever. Like, I’m sooo jealous 🙂 He loves other dogs (just not obnoxious little puppies and dogs as such, that bite him and play too rough, etc) He does LOVE to run, so a big yard is a must or…if you go jogging every day…that would be perfect as well. He is PERFECTLY crate trained and prefers that to running loose in the house. His only “kryptonite” is thunder. He just sits in his crate and curls up in a ball and doesn’t want to go outside.
The only thing I have to ask of any potential adopters, is that they spend some time with him for a day or two before any adoption can be made final. Don’t get me wrong, he’s NOT shy or anything like that. He just needs to meet you and understand that you can be fun for him because of his attachment to me. I really want to see this guy in his very own home. And yes, I will cry when he leaves 🙂
