Shauni is a shy, gentle soul who didn’t get the easiest start in life. Because of that, the world can feel big and overwhelming to her especially around strangers and particularly men. She struggles with stranger danger and needs time, patience, and understanding to truly feel safe. She isn’t a “love at first sight” kind of dog… she’s a “love that grows stronger every single day” kind of dog.
With calm energy, consistency, and maybe a few well-timed treats, Shauni slowly begins to open up. And when she does? It’s something really special.
Once she trusts you, her loyalty is unmatched. She absolutely adores affection and will gently melt into your lap, soaking up every bit of love like she’s been saving it all just for you. The walls come down, and you see the softness that was there all along.
