Ricotta came to us painfully underweight and emotionally shut down. She arrived alongside Brie, but while Brie demanded the spotlight, Ricotta quietly faded into the background. She was sweet, so very sweet, but so subdued it was clear life hadn’t been kind to her.
Her body told part of the story. Severe skin and eye issues caused constant discomfort, and she ultimately needed entropion surgery to finally relieve the pain she had likely lived with for far too long. And once that discomfort was gone… Ricotta began to bloom.
Today, she is an absolute love bug. The same quiet girl who once avoided attention now leans in for it. She adores people, melts into affection, and looks at her humans with the kind of gratitude that only comes from knowing what it’s like to hurt, and then to heal.
Ricotta is not dog-friendly, but what she lacks in canine companionship she makes up for tenfold in devotion to her people. She doesn’t want to share her heart, she wants to give it entirely to you.
