It was Aug. 30th, 2012…the night after Hurricane Isaac hit the small town that I lived in at the time.  The entire area was completed flooded and the river had overflowed to a 5 foot level.  I was driving my Jeep along the high point of the river bank, evacuating our dogs when my headlights saw a “flash” of white in the water.

As I jumped out into the darkness of the night and into the murky swamp waters, I heard “splish splash” and in the ray of my high beams, despite the seriousness of the situation, was this dog.  He was so happy to see me and pushed his way past me to swim and then attempt to leap up in my vehicle.  I named him on the spot as “Deuces” as I found him on Hwy 22.

It’s been years since the natural disaster hit Southeast Louisiana, and this happy go lucky boy still needs a home.  He is a bit of a handful (in a fun way) so he should go to someone with some large dog experience and also someone who likes adventure.  Although Deuces is full of energy, he also likes to snuggle and just hang out.

If you’re looking for a dog that is versatile,  has to much to give and probably has some great stories to tell….Deuces is your dude.
