A woman contacted us about a cat that she found that was having trouble walking. She brought us this big solid black cat, we were able to get her into the vet the same day. Turns out this big girl had a very good reason for having trouble walking, she was very pregnant. Corrine gave birth 2 days later to 6 kittens, our Frozen Litter. She took fantastic care of them!!

Just as her babies were starting to eat food another mama cat we had was having trouble with her babies. Sadly her babies were passing away and we had no clue why. We ended up taking her last 3 kittens away from her to bottle feed. After realizing that Corrine’s babies were doing great eating on their own, we decided to see if Corrine would be willing to care for these 3 little babies until they were old enough to be introduced to food. Corrine took them in as if they were her own. She nursed them back to health!!

As our bad luck would have it, when Corrine took in those 3 little ones, we also took in a litter of 5 bottle babies. We were fortunate at the time to have an employee who could bottle feed them. However 5 kittens is a lot of work for one person. After a couple weeks, we were able to transition the 3 babies to food, and we asked Corrine if she wouldn’t mind helping one last time.

Corrine is a caregiver, she took in those 5 babies just like she took in her last foster kittens. She did not bat an eye. After those 5 kittens were weaned, we told corrine she didn’t need to be a foster mom anymore.

Corrine retired to one of our indoor/outdoor catteries, as she isn’t a fan of being touched unless she asks for it. I don’t blame her after raising 14 kittens. Recently though we noticed she was having issues peeing. Poor girl had a large bladder stone. With some medication and prescription food it has shrubk considerably and will hopefully be gone soon. Unfortunately, she will need to stay on prescription food for life now, which is not cheap.
