Autumn is one of our remaining Bayou Corne cats.
Years ago, after a massive sinkhole forced the evacuation of an entire neighborhood, these resilient felines were left behind. One resident saw them and couldn’t just leave them. She cared for them for serveral years, and got them TNRed. She reached out to us to help relocate them before the entire neighborhood was given back to the swamp as it was no longer habitable. You may remember them from our show! Autumn was one of those cats.
Autumn is a beautiful tortoiseshell, who’s coloring changes with the sun, just like the colors of Fall. Autumn is atleast 12 years old, though her true age is unknown. Autumn lives in our indoor/outdoor cattery that is dedicated to our very feral cats. Even after all these years in our care she won’t let any humans near her. Though she is the queen of her colony and the other cats respect her. We made a commitment to care for these sink hole survivors for the rest of their days.
