Meet Grail, the sweetest sugar faced senior you’ll ever meet!
The end of July we recieved a frantic call from a Good Samaritain who had accidently hit a dog that bolted into the road in the middle of nowhere. She stayed with him until M2 could arrive to help keep him calm and safe. It was clear he was dumped. There were no houses around, just windy roads and swamp.
Grail was immediately brought to our vet to make sure he didn’t have any injuries from being hit by the car, or anything previously. He was skinny, limping, had extremely over-grown nails, and covered in swamp gunk. Once he got to the vet, there was no broken bones or internal injuries. He does have some arthritis, which has him moving a little slower.
We are still learning more about his personality, and his temperment with other dogs.
We do know that Grail loves people! He enjoys morning walks, and greeting the mail lady for a morning snack. He is crate trained, great in the car, and truly just loves to be around his favorite people. He loves to find the softest patch of grass to roll onto, and loves to “talk back” at you while you talk to him. He isn’t a huge fan of storms, and would prefer to just be snuggled up next to you when the sky booms are making noise.
