Empire is truly a special guy. While he isn’t a fan of other dogs, he is all about his people. Human attention isn’t just something he enjoys, it’s something he requires. He’s happiest when he’s right by your side, soaking up affection and reminding you that he’s there (usually very loudly).
Being alone for long periods isn’t Empire’s thing. He prefers companionship, closeness, and knowing his person is nearby. During loud storms or fireworks, he needs that reassurance even more. Fireworks don’t just scare Empire, they make him want to run and not look back. So a calm, secure home where his humans are present to help him feel safe is incredibly important for him.
Empire is affectionately demanding when it comes to pets. If he decides it’s cuddle time, he’ll bark until you grant him his every wish and honestly, it’s hard to say no. He loves hard add in toys and tasty treats, and those little joys make his world complete.
He would do best in a home with older children (7 and up) who understand boundaries and can give him the attention he craves.
Empire is loyal, sensitive, and deeply connected to his humans. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just want to be part of your life, he wants to be right in the middle of it, every single day.
