Kovu came to us with his sister, Kiara, after they were found in a cane field, skinny and carrying old scars from a past they never should have known. Despite everything they had been through, these two chose love.
Now almost a year old, Kovu has grown into a stunning young boy. He is incredibly intelligent and has formed strong bonds with the people he trusts. Once you are in his circle, you have a loyal best friend for life.
Kovu can be shy with new people and is naturally suspicious of strangers, so he will need a patient, experienced home that understands the Malinois breed. Because he bonds deeply and takes time to warm up, he would do best in an adult-only home with people committed to helping him continue building confidence.
He enjoys the company of other dogs and would love an active family that appreciates the loyalty, intelligence, and devotion that make Malinois so special. Whether you’re heading out on an adventure or settling in for the evening, Kovu wants nothing more than to be with his people.
