(here since 7/30/07)
Name: GARY
DOB: approx. July 1997
Gender: male
Size: he's a short and stocky dude
Other dogs: NO
Cats: NO
Kids: good, but he needs bigger kids as he plays pretty rough
Training: He hasn't been started on any formal obedience training yet
Profile: Gary was one of those typical L. A. statistics. A stray roaming the mean streets of South Central Los Angeles. He was picked up by animal control with chemical burns all over his back (also typical for this breed in this area). He was literally on his death bed and we didn't think he would make it. But one afternoon, when unpacking some donated items, Gary came to life when he saw a ball. It was then that we saw this "elderly" dog was not so elderly afterall. Gary bounced back (no pun intended, well maybe just a little bit) and absolutely will die for a ball and to play fetch. Though he is about 10 years old, he has the energy of a 2 year old. Believe it or not, Gary will require an active and Pit Bull savvy owner. He has no plans of slowing down yet. We absolutely ADORE this dog and his piss and vinegar attitude. |
