Profile: Monty is a Pit/Lab mix. He actually came from a good family and raised with kids. But as Monty grew up, his Pit/Lab behavior kicked in and became too much for there lifestyle. It has been our experience that the Pit/Lab mixes can be a challenging "cocktail". You have the tenacity of the Pit Bull, but the "spazzy" energy of the Lab. Because of this, these dogs need that extra attention and exercise and training. Thus, the reason that Monty was given up. He is a FUN dog that will need an active household. He's got a great spirit about him and also has the gentle giant personality. Even though he is considered a middle aged dog, he has the giddy up and go of a youngster. If you're looking for a fun campanion, then Monty is the guy for you!!
